Studies of Oat-Maize Hybrids Tolerance to Soil Drought Stress

چکیده
The ontogenesis and yield formation in crop plants are modified by environmental conditions. Due to climatic change detected over two decades, the harmful influence of abiotic factors is increasing. One most threatening issues reducing plant productivity drought stress. strength response water shortages could differ depending on stress, type crop, genetic background, presence additional stresses, stage development. There examples sexual hybridization between like oat (Avena sativa L.) maize (Zea mays with which stable fertile hybrids were generated. Additional chromosomes (oat × addition, OMA) often infer morphological physiological (e.g., PS II photosystem activity chlorophyll production) changes modulated interaction certain added genome. aim research was evaluate chosen physiological, biochemical, agronomic parameters OMA subjected soil drought. Analysis variance indicated that main effects genotype as well treatment significant for all traits studied (photosynthetic pigment content, selected PSII indices, mass stem, number grains/plant, grains/plant). Most examined lines severely reduced parameters, yield-related under results (9 78b) retained high yielding potential stress compared commercial cv. Bingo.

Drought Responses of Foliar Metabolites in Three Maize Hybrids Differing in Water Stress Tolerance
Maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids varying in drought tolerance were treated with water stress in controlled environments. Experiments were performed during vegetative growth and water was withheld for 19 days beginning 17 days after sowing. Genotypic comparisons used measured changes of leaf water potential or results were expressed by time of treatment. Total dry matter of the drought tolerant hybri...

In order to recognize the soybean tolerant genotypes, a greenhouse as factorial experiment was conducted in form of randomized complete block design with three repetition in 2017 in Damavand. The first factor contained 15 soybean genotypes and second factor included two levels of normal irrigation and irrigation disruption in time of podding. The traits included plant height, reproductive ...

in order to study drought tolerance indices and to introduce tolerant maize hybrids in drought conditions, an experiment was conducted at the experimental field of seed and plant improvement institute, in 2009. the experiment was carried out using split-plot in a randomized complete block design (crbd) with three replications. the main plots consisted of three levels of irrigation regimes (irri...
متن کاملInoculation with Azospirillum sp. and Herbaspirillum sp. Bacteria Increases the Tolerance of Maize to Drought Stress
Stress drought is an important abiotic factor that leads to immense losses in crop yields around the world. Strategies are urgently needed to help plants adapt to drought in order to mitigate crop losses. Here we investigated the bioprotective effects of inoculating corn grown under drought conditions with two types of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), A. brasilense, strain SP-7, and...
متن کاملEvaluation of oxidative stress tolerance in maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings in response to drought.
Seedlings of selected six genotypes of maize (Zea mays L.) differing in their drought sensitivity (LM5 and Parkash drought-tolerant and PMH2, JH3459, Paras and LM14 as drought-sensitive) were exposed to 72 h drought stress at two leaf stage. Alterations in their antioxidant pools combined with activities of enzymes involved in defense against oxidative stress were investigated in leaves. Activi...
